Next generation cooling technology that emits heat into deep space.
Infrared is the new green.
XO Materials is pioneering materials technology that can cool buildings without using any energy. It seems impossible, but it’s not. Our materials technology is highly emissive, shedding heat in the form of invisible infrared light faster than the sun can supply it. Unlike air conditioners, XO Materials’ technology requires no electricity and, actually, slightly cools the earth.
Changing the world
Less energy.
XO Materials’ technology not only consumes no energy to keep buildings cool, it can radiate up to 100W/m2. Our tech reduces peak energy demand on power grids and lowers overall energy consumption.
Less carbon.
Air conditioning amounts to 10% of global energy consumption and is an enormous contributor to climate change. Our technology significantly offsets air conditioning use, making cooling less carbon intensive.
Less heat.
XO Materials’ next generation technology doesn’t just cool a building by moving heat into the ambient environment - it radiates heat through the atmosphere into deep space and cools the earth.
Less cost.
Our technology is low cost, easy to apply, and works in conjunction with existing HVAC systems to reduce energy expenditures. At XO Materials, we know that realistic technology is the most impactful.
